[...]nient and [...] reparac[i]ons and within [...] years now next ensuing well and sufficiently fence inclose and sett with double quicksett all the fences and enclosures belonging to the aforesaid p[re]misses and the same so well and sufficiently fenced enclosed and quicksetted shall keepe and maintein during the Residue of the said term and shall yearly during the said terme set and plannt upon some part of the aforesaid p[re]misses twenty young trees of oake ashe or ellme fitt or likely to grow to be timber trees and the same or others to be planted in the roomes and steed of such of them as shall happen to dye and shall att his and their prop[er] costs and chardges during the said terme have and keepe in readines upon the p[re]misses for the service of his ma[ies]tie his heires and successors two Corsletts and pikes furnished and one muskett furnished in such manner as the same shal[l] be allowed by the muster master of the said County for the tyme being. And that his ma[ies]tie wil[l] be pleased to confirme this agreem[en]t by his l[ett]res patents under the great Seale of England and that the said Archibald Stewart and his assignes shall Coven[a]nt [and] grannt thereby for him his heires executors administrators and assignes to performe what is hereby agreed on his part. The said seaventeenth day of July the af oresaid Commissioners for and on his ma[ies]ties behalfe by vertue of the said Commission and John mc Roberts of Colerane aforesaid Saylor doe conclude and agree that the said John mc Roberts and his assignes shall have and hold All that messuage or t enement garden and backside thereunto adioining with th[e] appurten[a]nc[e]s in Colerane aforesaid now or late in the tenure or occupac[i]on of the right hono[ra]ble Randall E arl of Antrim or his assignes for the terme of one and twenty yeares from the ffeast of Phillip and Jacob now last past for and under the yearly rent of six pounds sterling paiable in such manner and with upon and under such further and the like agreements coven[a]nts and Condic[i]on as in the aforesaid agreem[en]t made by the said Commissioners and Robert Scoles beforenamed are conteyned and with this further agreement that the said John and his assignes shall during the said terme have mainteyne and keepe for the service of his ma[ies]tie his heires and successors one muskett furnished in such manner as the same shal[l] be allowed of from tyme to tyme by the muster ma ster of the county in w[hi]ch the p[re]misses are for the tyme being and with and upon Condic[i]on that if the said John mc Roberts or his assignes shall erect or have any cabbyn or other dwelling house upon the said garden or backside that th[...] from thenceforth the said Terme shall cease and be voyd In wi tness whereof the said Commissioners and the said John mc Roberts have put to their hands the day and yeare ab ovewritten:

And that his Majesty will be pleased to confirm this agreement by his letters patent under the Great Seal of England and that the said Archibald Stewart and his assigns shall Covenant and grant thereby for him his heirs executors administrators and assigns to performe what is hereby agreed on his part. John McRoberts 140.

The said seventeenth day of July, the aforesaid commissioners for and on his Majesty’s behalf by virtue of the said commission, and John McRoberts of Coleraine aforesaid, sailor, do conclude and agree that the said John McRoberts and his assigns shall have and hold all that messuage or tenement, garden, and backside thereunto adjoining with the appurtenances in Coleraine aforesaid, now or late in the tenure or occupation of the right honorable Randal Earl of Antrim or his assigns for the term of one and twenty years from the feast of Phillip and Jacob now last past, for and under the yearly rent of six pounds sterling payable in such manner and with, upon, and under such further and the like agreements, covenants, and condition as in the aforesaid agreement made by the said commissioners and Robert Scoles beforenamed are contained, and with this further agreement that the said John and his assigns shall during the said term have, maintain, and keep for the service of his Majesty, his heirs and successors, one musket furnished in such manner as the same shall be allowed of from time to time by the Muster Master of the county in which the premises are for the time being, and with and upon condition that if the said John McRoberts or his assigns shall erect or have any cabin or other dwelling house upon the said garden or backside that th[…] from thenceforth the said term shall cease and be void.
