and other convenient places for lodging of fishermen and others to be employed in and about the said Rivers and ffish ings or any of them and to stand and draw their netts and carry their ffishe on lan d and dry and amend their netts and hoope, pickle and trimme up their Caske and do any other thing else concerninge the said ffishings or ffishermen upon any part of the shores or lands adioyninge or neere to the said Rivers an d fishings or any of them without lett or interrupc[i]on, The same premiss es except before excepted, To be holden of his Ma[ies]tie his heires, and successors as of such Mannor as his Ma[ies]tie shall erect, Create, and make of or within the Proporc[i]on of land called the Clothworkers Proportion in the said late County, by such rents and services as are hereaft er menc[i]oned that is to say yeildinge and payinge therefore to his Ma jesty his heires and Successors the yearly rent of twenty sixe shillings and eight pence of lawfull money of England att the ffeasts of all S[ain]ts [and] Phill ip and Jacob by equall porc[i]ons into the Receipt of his Ma[ies]t[ie]s Exchecq[ue]r in England or unto the hands of the Receivor of his Ma[ies]tie his heirs and Successors for the tyme beinge for the Revennue of Londonderry als[o] Derry and Colerane or either of them, And yeildinge and doeing ffealty to his Ma[ies]tie his heirs and Successors or to the Lord or Lords of the said Mannor fo r the time beinge, And doinge suit att Court in and to the Court Ba ron to be holden for the said Mannor from three weekes to three weeks if the same shall be soe often held And doinge suit att and to his Ma[ies]t[ie]s Mill within the said Mannor That is to say that they the said Richard Newgent and Henry Beresford and their assignes shall grind att the said Mill and not elsewhere, all the Corne and graine that shall be used or spent in or up[p]on the premisses or any part thereof and yeildinge and givinge the sixteenth part thereof for the moulture thereof, And for default of payinge do inge and p[er]forminge the aforesaid rent and other services or any part of them or anie of them that then his Ma[ies]tie his heires successors [and] assigns may distreine for the same And the said Evyney O Cahan or his assigns shall at his or their prop[er] costs [and] chardges within five yeares now next coming erect and build, and fully finishe, up[p]on the p[re]misses one sufficient and substantiall house of tymber, stone, or bricke, after the fashion and manner of an Englishe howse and conteininge sixe roomes at the least and the said Richard and Henry or some sufficient tenant with his family shall from time to tyme from and after the building of the said house be resident and inhabitant in and up[p]on [th]e said premises and the said Evyney or his assignes shall within five years now next coming att his and their owne p[ro]p[er] Costs and chardges well and sufficiently with ditches ffences and double quicksette sever [and] part all the said premisses from the other lands of his Ma[ies]tie and his tenants and the same shall from time to tyme preserve and keepe, And that the said Richard and Henry or their assignes shall not nor will not demise or lett the premisses or any part thereof nor voluntarily nor willingly suffer the same or any part thereof to come to the hands or possession of any person or persons whatsoever that shall not then before have taken the oaths of alleagiance and supremacy before some Iustice of the peace or others in that behalfe lawfully authorised, And that his M ajesty will be graciously

and other convenient places for lodging of fishermen and others to be employed in and about the said rivers and fishings or any of them, and to stand and draw their nets, and carry their fish on land, and dry and amend their nets, and hoop, pickle and trim up their cask, and do any other thing else concerning the said fishings or fishermen upon any part of the shores or lands adjoining or near to the said rivers and fishings or any of them, without let or interruption. The same premises except before excepted, to be holden of his Majesty, his heirs and successors as of such manor as his Majesty shall erect, create, and make of or within the Proportion of land called the Clothworkers’ Proportion in the said late county, by such rents and services as are hereafter mentioned, that is to say, yielding and paying therefore to his Majesty, his heirs and successors, the yearly rent of twenty-six shillings and eight pence of lawful money of England at the feasts of all Saints and Phillip and Jacob by equal portions, into the receipt of his Majesty’s Exchequer in England, or unto the hands of the Receiver of his Majesty, his heirs and successors for the time being for the revenue of Londonderry, also Derry, and Coleraine or either of them. And yielding and doing fealty to his Majesty, his heirs and successors, or to the lord or lords of the said manor for the time being. And doing suit at court in and to the court baron to be holden for the said manor from three weeks to three weeks if the same shall be so often held. And doing suit at and to his Majesty’s mill within the said manor. That is to say, that they, the said Richard Newgent and Henry Beresford and their assigns, shall grind at the said mill and not elsewhere, all the corn and grain that shall be used or spent in or upon the premises or any part thereof, and yielding and giving the sixteenth part thereof for the multure thereof. And for default of paying, doing, and performing the aforesaid rent and other services or any part of them or any of them, that then his Majesty, his heirs, successors, and assigns may distrein for the same. And the said Eveny O’Cahan or his assigns shall, at his or their proper costs and charges within five years now next coming, erect and build and fully finish upon the premises one sufficient and substantial house of timber, stone, or brick, after the fashion and manner of an English house and containing six rooms at the least, and the said Richard and Henry or some sufficient tenant with his family shall, from time to time from and after the building of the said house, be resident and inhabitant in and upon the said premises, and the said Eveny or his assigns shall, within five years now next coming, at his and their own proper costs and charges, well and sufficiently with ditches, fences, and double quicksett, sever and part all the said premises from the other lands of his Majesty and his tenants, and the same shall, from time to time, preserve and keep. And that the said Richard and Henry or their assigns shall not nor will not demise or let the premises or any part thereof, nor voluntarily nor willingly suffer the same or any part thereof to come to the hands or possession of any person or persons whatsoever that shall not then before have taken the oaths of allegiance and supremacy before some Justice of the Peace or others in that behalf lawfully authorised.
