The [...]th day of October in the ffifteenth yeare of his ma[ies]ties reigne Annoq ue D[omi]ni 1639 the said commissioners for and on his ma[ies]t[ie]s behalfe by vertue of the said Commission and Robert Thornton one of the Aldermen of the late Citty of Londonderry for and on the behalfe of Christopher ffreeman of Ballikelley in the late County of Londonderry gent[leman] doe conclude and agree that his ma[ies]tie wil[l] be gratiously pleased to erect and create a Court Leete w[hi]ch shall extend and have Iurisdicc[i]on over all the resiants and inhabitants within the late Mannor of Wallworth and Proporc[i]on of land called the ffishmongers Proporc[i]on in the late county of Londonderry to be houlden within the said Proporc[i]on twice every yeare as Leetes are or ought to be houlden in England and that his ma[ies]tie wil[l] be gratiously pleased to make and create the late Mannor of Wallworth and all the lands in the foresaid Proporc[i]on into a Mannor with a Court Barron to be called by such name as his ma[ies]tie shal[l] be pleased and that the said Christofer and his assignes shall have and keepe the said Court Leete and Court Barron by his and their sufficient S teward or Stewards according to the lawes and customes of England and that the said Christofer and his assignes shall have and hold the foresaid Court Leete and Court Barron and have all the fines issues amerciaments p[ro]fitts and perquisitts thereof and all waifes and estraies hapen ing within the said late manor Except and allwaies res[er]ved unto his ma[ies]tie his heires and su ccessors all the rents and reliefs of all and every the ffreehoulders and others houlden or to be ho lden of the said manor for the terme of one and twenty yeares from the ffeast of Phillip and Jacob now last past for and under the yearly rent of ffourty shilling[e]s sterling paiable into the receipt of his Majesty’s Excheq[ue]r in England or unto the hands of the Receiver of his ma[ies]tie his heirs and successors for the time being for the Reven[n]ue of Londonderry als[o] Derry and Colerane or either of them at the feasts of All Saints and Phillip and Jacob yearly by equall porc[i]ons Upon Condic[i]on that the said term shall cease and be void if the said rent or anie part thereof shal[l] be behind and unpaied ffiftie da ys next after anie of the said ffeasts or daies of paiment aforesaid And that the said Christofer and his assignes shall yearly during the said terme keepe or cause to be kept the said Court Leete and Court Barron and cause the matters and proceedings of the said Court Leete and Court Barron yearly to be fairly written and ingrossed in a booke and att the end of the said terme deliver up the said booke to the use of his ma[ies]tie his heires and successors And that his ma[ies]tie will be gratiously pleased to ratifie and confirme this agreement by his l[ett]res patents under the great Seale of England and that the said Christofer shall coven[a]nt and grant thereby for him his heires executors administrators and assignes to performe what is hereby agreed on his parte In witnes whereof the said Commissioners and the said Robert Thornton have putt to their hands the day and yeare abovewritten:

The […]th day of October in the fifteenth year of his Majesty’s reign, annoque domini 1639, the said commissioners for and on his Majesty’s behalf by virtue of the said commission, and Robert Thornton, one of the Aldermen of the late city of Londonderry, for and on the behalf of Christopher Freeman of Ballykelly in the late county of Londonderry, gentleman, do conclude and agree that his Majesty will be graciously pleased to erect and create a court leet which shall extend and have jurisdiction over all the residents and inhabitants within the late Manor of Walworth and Proportion of land called the Fishmongers’ Proportion in the late county of Londonderry, to be holden within the said Proportion twice every year as leets are or ought to be holden in England, and that his Majesty will be graciously pleased to make and create the late Manor of Walworth and all the lands in the foresaid Proportion into a manor with a court baron to be called by such name as his Majesty shall be pleased, and that the said Christopher and his assigns shall have and keep the said court leet and court baron by his and their sufficient Steward or Stewards according to the laws and customs of England, and that the said Christopher and his assigns shall have and hold the foresaid court leet and court baron and have all the fines, issues, amerciaments, profits, and perquisites thereof and all waifs and strays happening within the said late manor. Except and always reserved unto his Majesty, his heirs and successors all the rents and reliefs of all and every the freeholders and others holden or to be holden of the said manor, for the term of one and twenty years from the feast of Phillip and Jacob now last past, for and under the yearly rent of forty shillings sterling payable into the receipt of his Majesty’s Exchequer in England, or unto the hands of the Receiver of his Majesty, his heirs and successors for the time being for the revenue of Londonderry, also Derry, and Coleraine or either of them at the feasts of All Saints and Phillip and Jacob, yearly by equal portions. Upon condition that the said term shall cease and be void if the said rent or any part thereof shall be behind and unpaid fifty days next after any of the said feasts or days of payment aforesaid. And that the said Christopher and his assigns shall yearly during the said term keep, or cause to be kept, the said court leet and court baron and cause the matters and proceedings of the said court leet and court baron yearly to be fairly written and engrossed in a book, and at the end of the said term deliver up the said book to the use of his Majesty, his heirs and successors. And that his Majesty will be graciously pleased to ratify and confirm this agreement by his letters patent under the Great Seal of England, and that the said Christopher shall covenant and grant thereby for him, his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns to perform what is hereby agreed on his part. In witness whereof the said commissioners and the said Robert Thornton have put to their hands the day and year abovewritten:
