Rory Ballaghe O Cahan 12.

The seaventeenth day of the said month of August the said Com[m]iss ioners for and on his Ma[ies]ties behalfe by vertue of the said Commission and Rory Ballaghe O Cahan of Desert Toghill in the late Count y of Londonderry gent[leman] doe conclude and agree that the said Rory and his assignes shall have and hold all those T wo townlands com[m]only called or knowne by the severall name or names of G[...] and Lisnescreghog with the appurtenanc[e]s in Desert Toughill aforesaid and Erragell in the late county of Londonderry or by whatsoever other name or names the same or either of them be called or knowne conteining by estimac[i]on sixe hundred acres Irishe measure and all Cabbins, edifices and buildings thereup[p]on and also all waies and passages to the aforesaid p[re]misses or any part thereof belonging or formerly enioyed therewith with and under such and the like excepc[i]ons for the terme of one and twenty yeares from [th]e feast of Phillip and Jacob now last past for and under the yearly rent of two and twenty pounds sterlinge paiable in such manner and at such days and tymes and with under and up[p]on such and the like condition covenants and agreem[en]ts as in the aforesaid agreem[en]t made by the said Com[m]issioners and Robert Burden beforenamed are contained save onely that the said Rory is not by this his agreem[en]t to have and keepe in readines one muskett furnished as the said Robert Burden is by his said Agreem[en]t to doe And with this further agreement and upon condic[i]on that if the said Rory shall not within [...] years now next com[m]inge usually repaire to Church and in all things conforme himselfe to the orders [and] descipline of the Church of England that then th is p[re]sent contract and the lease thereup[p]on to be made shall be voyd if his Ma[ies]tie please so to declare it In Wittnes whereof the said Com missioners and the said Rory Ballagh O Cahan have put to their hands the day and yeare abovewritt en:

Rory Ballagh O’Cahan 12.

The seventeenth day of the said month of August, the said commissioners for and on his Majesty’s behalf by virtue of the said commission, and Rory Ballagh O’Cahan of Desertoghill in the late county of Londonderry, gentleman, do conclude and agree that the said Rory and his assigns shall have and hold all those two townlands commonly called or known by the several name or names of G[…] and Lisnescreghog, with the appurtenances in Desertoghill aforesaid and Errigal in the late county of Londonderry or by whatsoever other name or names the same or either of them be called or known, containing by estimation six hundred acres Irish measure and all cabins, edifices, and buildings thereupon and also all ways and passages to the aforesaid premises or any part thereof belonging or formerly enjoyed therewith, with and under such and the like exceptions for the term of one and twenty years from the feast of Phillip and Jacob now last past, for and under the yearly rent of two and twenty pounds sterling payable in such manner and at such days and times and with, under, and upon such and the like condition, covenants, and agreements as in the aforesaid agreement made by the said commissioners and Robert Burden beforenamed are contained, save only that the said Rory is not by this his agreement to have and keep in readiness one musket furnished as the said Robert Burden is by his said agreement to do. And with this further agreement and upon condition that if the said Rory shall not within […] years now next coming, usually repair to church and in all things conform himself to the orders and discipline of the Church of England, that then this present contract and the lease thereupon to be made shall be void if his Majesty please so to declare it.
