aforesaid houses and all other the aforesaid buildings in good and sufficient rep[ar]ac[i]ons. And shall within seaven yeares now next coming with dikes and double quicksett where quicksett will growe and with other good and sufficient ffences and inclosures where quick sett will not grow devide, sever and make the aforesaid p[re]misses into tw[...] several closes, and the same beinge soe devided made and severed a nd all other the hedges ditches, and inclosures up[p]on or belonginge t o the aforesaid p[re]misses shall keepe and maintaine well and sufficiently fe nced ditched inclosed and quicksetted duringe the said Terme And shall during the said term sett and plant upon some p[ar]ts of the aforesaid p[re]misses twelve young trees of oak or ash fitt and likely to growe to be Tymber trees and the same or others to be sett and planted in the roomes and steads of such of them as shall happen to dye shall maintaine preserve [and] keepe from hurt and spoyle duringe the said Terme And shall att his and their prop[er] costs and charges duringe the said Terme have and keepe in readines up[p]on the aforesaid premisses for the service of his Ma[ies]tie his heyres and Successors one pike and corslett furnished in such manner as the same shall and may be allowed by the Mustermaster of the said County in w[hi]ch the p[re]misses are for the tyme beinge, And that up[p]on reasonable request there shall be allowed and sett out unto the said William or his assignes from tyme to tyme duringe the said Terme by the Woodward or other officer of his Ma[ies]tie his heires [and] successors rough tymber for buildinge and repairinge the aforesaid house soe to be built as aforesaid in convenient places within the late County of Londonderry to be spent up[p]on the p[re]misses and not elsewhere. And that the said William and his assignes shall and may from tyme to tyme duringe the said Terme have and take ploughboote cartboote ffireboote [and] hedgeboote to be taken in and up[p]on the roots stumps and truncks of trees fallen or lyinge on the ground and not fitt for buildinge thornes bushes shreddings and lops of trees and underwoods growinge up[p]on the p[re]misses if the same be there to be had the same to be spent up[p]on the p[re]misses and not otherwise. And that his Ma[ies]ty will be gratiously pleased to ratify and confirme this agreem[en]t by his L[ett]res Patents under the Great Seal of England, and that the said William shall covenant and grant thereby for him his heyres Executors adminstrators and assigns to p[er]forme what is hereby agreed on his p[ar]te. In witness whereof the said Com[m]issioners and the said William Betts have putt to their hands the day and yeare abovewritten:

The said [...] and twentieth day of the Moneth of Septemb er the foresaid commissioners for and on his Majesty’s behalf by virtue of the sa id Com[m]ission and Donal O haggan of Annahally in the late County of Londonderry, gent[leman] doe conc ude and agree that the said Donnell and his assigns shall have a nd hold all that Towneland com[m]only called or known by the name of Carnesh[...]

aforesaid houses and all other the aforesaid buildings in good and sufficient reparations. And shall within seven years now next coming, with dikes and double quicksett where quicksett will grow and with other good and sufficient fences and enclosures where quicksett will not grow, divide, sever, and make the aforesaid premises into tw[…] several closes, and the same being so divided, made, and severed, and all other the hedges, ditches, and enclosures upon or belonging to the aforesaid premises shall keep and maintain well and sufficiently fenced, ditched, enclosed, and quicksetted during the said term. And shall, during the said term, set and plant upon some parts of the aforesaid premises twelve young trees of oak or ash, fit and likely to grow to be timber trees and the same or others to be set and planted in the rooms and steads of such of them as shall happen to die, shall maintain, preserve, and keep from hurt and spoil during the said term. And shall, at his and their proper costs and charges, during the said term have and keep in readiness upon the aforesaid premises, for the service of his Majesty, his heirs and successors one pike and corslet furnished in such manner as the same shall and may be allowed by the Muster Master of the said county in which the premises are for the time being. And that upon reasonable request there shall be allowed and set out unto the said William or his assigns, from time to time during the said term, by the Woodward or other Officer of his Majesty, his heirs and successors rough timber for building and repairing the aforesaid house, so to be built as aforesaid, in convenient places within the late county of Londonderry, to be spent upon the premises and not elsewhere. And that the said William and his assigns shall and may from time to time during the said term have and take ploughboot, cartboot, fireboot, and hedgeboot, to be taken in and upon the roots, stumps, and trunks of trees fallen or lying on the ground and not fit for building, thornbushes, shreddings and lops of trees, and underwood growing upon the premises if the same be there to be had, the same to be spent upon the premises and not otherwise. And that his Majesty will be graciously pleased to ratify and confirm this agreement by his letters patent under the Great Seal of England, and that the said William shall covenant and grant thereby for him, his heirs, executors, adminstrators, and assigns to perform what is hereby agreed on his part. In witnesss whereof the said commissioners and the said William Betts have put to their hands the day and yeare abovewritten:
